Paralpi (Manta- Earth)

This piece by Zaachariaha Fielding is a representation of Manta - the Pitjantjatjara word for earth or country - around a special ceremonial site near Mimili community on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands. This is where Zaachariaha spent a lot of time as a child, learning Paralpi’s story from his grandmothers; also about life, the world, language, humour, interconnectedness of things.
