Torrens River Sketchbook Scene

This piece by Chris Kenyon captures the stillness and quiet wonder of an afternoon walk along the Torrens River. The afternoon light reflecting on the still trees offered the perfect pause for reflection, and a sketch, as it cast a unique blue hue across the stillness of the landscape. Chris wanted to evoke a sensation of floating, with branches and leaves drifting outward from the heart of the painting. Native animals encountered along the walk appear throughout the scene as subtle companions.
