In honour of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, this NAIDOC Week we proudly partner with Flinders University to celebrate Kaurna, Narungga and Ngarrindjeri artist, graphic designer and alumni Lawson Dodd.
Drawing deeply from his First Nations heritage, Lawson blends traditional symbolism with modern design to create bold, meaningful works that speak to identity, culture, and connection to Country.
With a culturally grounded yet contemporary approach to visual storytelling, Lawson’s visual storytelling comes to life in a lobby installation featuring two works — Journey into the Heart of Knowledge and Digital Gathering. When viewed from either the left or right, the artworks come together to reveal a unified narrative.
